#TheWorldAfterCorona with Retorio: “There Aren’t Any Real Winners in This Crisis”

What will the world look like after corona? Christoph Hohenberger and Patrick Oehler, founders of Retorio, talk about last year and dare to look to the future.

Some startups had already developed products before the pandemic that were desperately needed during the corona crisis. Retorio seems to be one of those startups. The software from the Munich-based company is designed to make the job application process easier. With artificial intelligence, Retorio analyzes videos to help companies find the right person for their open position among all of the candidates. Nonetheless, the two founders Christoph Hohenberger and Patrick Oehler take stock in the latest edition of our video series #TheWorldAfterCorona:

“We don’t think there are any real winners in this crisis.”

What’s more important to them is that everyone in the company is still healthy.

But is Retorio a corona winner after all?

The founders reported that the pandemic led to a new use case for the Retorio solution: Companies want to use the software for training.

Some other developments during the pandemic have also played into the Munich-based startup’s hands: Companies are looking for applicants on a more international scale. That increases the number of potential job candidates and the value of Retorio’s software. Patrick Oehler says in the video:

“We’ve seen that our technology has created tremendous added value and that it will continue to do so in the future.”

They also said applicants are no longer shy about being in front of the camera, which makes it easier to use their solution.
