#CoronaUpdate with Cliniserve: “We Want to Help Tackle the Care Shortage”

Cliniserve offers a digital solution for hospitals that supports caregivers in performing their work. That means the potential customers of the Munich startup located in Werk1 are all of the organizations that currently find themselves in the middle of the corona crisis. Julian Nast-Kolb, co-founder and CEO of Cliniserve, talks about how his startup has experienced the last few months in our #CoronaUpdate.

In brief, Cliniserve is working on digitizing and thereby improving the allocation of tasks and staff in hospitals. Julian Nast-Kolb summarizes the task of his startup as follows:

“Cliniserve’s goal is to support caregivers in their daily routine.”

The startup now has 11 employees and supplies 20 hospitals in the German-speaking region with its digital solutions.

Cliniserve: “Hospitals had very different issues on their minds than digitizing care”

The corona crisis led to major limitations in the startup’s sales. Hospitals implemented visitation restrictions and shifted their entire focus to creating capacity for Covid patients. In the face of the pandemic, implementing new digital processes was suddenly no longer relevant, says Nast-Kolb:

“Another major effect was that hospitals suddenly had very different issues on their minds than digitizing care.”
