#CoronaUpdate with Volabo: “We’re right on schedule”

Volabo develops high-performance engines that run on a low voltage of 48 volts. In our #CoronaUpdate, Lena Honsberg, responsible for the Munich startup’s marketing, explained how Volabo fared in the corona crisis.

As Lena Honsberg reports, the corona crisis very much affected the Munich cleantech startup in the beginning. Volabo works quite a lot with car manufacturers and suppliers who were severely impacted by the lockdown. As a result, many projects were suddenly put on the back burner.

“An intense phase with positive results”

The Munich-based company used their time during the lockdown to complete the development of their product and sell the first units. Honsberg said in retrospect:

“We had a very intense phase in the last few weeks and months with very positive results.”

She said Volabo is now right on schedule and only needs one thing: “a more or less normal business environment so we can really get going.”
