IAA Mobility 2021: How Much Startup Does the Mobility Conference Have to Offer?

The IAA is being held for the first time in Munich this year and has reinvented itself: The former car show is now aiming for success as a modern mobility conference. We have some pictures to share of the exhibition halls and of the ‘Open Space’ in downtown Munich.

The Munich startup Chargex is showcasing the second generation of their multi-socket ‘Aqueduct’ for electric cars at the IAA Mobility. Shortly after the conference started, founder Tobias Wagner shared the following at his stand: “We’re hoping for a lot of traction at the conference, for a lot of people to come by and be interested. The first few hours have already gone very, very well. There’s been a big crowd.” The Munich company has a clear goal for their stand: “Many people don’t know about us yet. That’s the biggest problem we have with Chargex. We’re taking advantage of the platform that we’re given here so we can show how easy it is to install charging stations.” Those who visit the stand can take part in a competition to see who can install a charging station the fastest. When we visited them, the record was 26 seconds. (Photo: S. Tischer – Munich Startup)
