Ultimately, 2NA Fish won over the jury with its idea to revolutionize cancer treatment decisions. The startup’s platform technology is designed to enable precise and predictable diagnoses for cancer therapy based on the spatial analysis of gene activity. In addition to the trophy, the winning startup receives prize money of 10.000 euros.

The presentation of the Munich Startups Award took place directly after the final pitching round at the Munich Startup Festival at Backstage. Together with Arno Eggers, Head of Munich Startup, Gabriele Riedl, Business Development Manager at Messe München, selected this year’s winning team. Arno Eggers said:

“At the Munich Startup Festival, we not only celebrate the Munich startup scene, but also the winner of the Munich Startup Award for their impressive idea. We are delighted that we were able to increase the prize money to 10,000 euros with the support of the trade fair.”

Munich Startup Award and a special prize

The winning team is delighted with the award. Christina Port, co-founder of 2NA Fish, accepted the award. She expressed her gratitude for the award and said:

“The award is particularly great for us because we are now setting up a limited company and can use the money well as startup capital. The pitch contest was a unique opportunity for us because it gave us direct validation. On the one hand through the audience in the semi-final and on the other with the expertise in the final.”

There was also a special prize to be won, supported by Techprnrs. Treesense impressed the jury with its technology for real-time monitoring of tree health.
