DeltaVision was founded in 2022 by Denis Kiefel, Alex Plebuch and Matthias Günther. The startups’ product portfolio includes solenoid valves, pressure valves and electromotive pressure regulators that are used to regulate cryogenic and high-pressure liquids. These include methane and liquid hydrogen, which are used as rocket fuel, and oxygen, which is used as an oxidizer. In addition, there are technologies for condition monitoring and predictive maintenance of valves and intelligent standardization.
In addition to use in space travel, the components can also be used in mobility applications. The startup can thus also support the role of hydrogen in the transport transition, from its use in trucks to H2-powered aircraft.

Munich Startup: What does your startup do? What problem do you solve?
DeltaVision: We are specialists in valves, pumps, pressure regulators and more – the cardiovascular system of future rockets, spaceships, space stations and even airplanes. This technology is hard and we are taking it to a new, commercial level that can only be found globally in the USA.
Munich Startup: But that’s nothing out of the box!
DeltaVision: There were also electric cars before Tesla.
Munich Startup: What’s your founding story?
DeltaVision: We have developed very specific solutions for major European space programs in this field and have found that systematic solutions are needed. We deliver these – and will soon be a global leader.
Munich Startup: What have been your biggest challenges so far?
DeltaVision: Our first major product delivery was prototypes of the main valves for a cryogenic engine for a lunar module. Absolutely on the edge of physics.
Munich Startup: Where would you like to be in a year, where would you like to be in five years?
DeltaVision: In one year we will have products in space and in five years we will be globally active and a hidden champion.
Munich Startup: How have you experienced Munich as a startup location so far?
DeltaVision: The location is strong – lots of talent and many opportunities.
