Streavent: “Taking Virtual and Hybrid B2B Events to the Next Level”

After a good two years of fully digital and hybrid events, certain expectations have developed in the field. They aren’t, however, something that all event organizers are necessarily able to meet. The Munich startup Streavent wants to lend them a helping hand. In our interview, the company promises a software solution that is also suitable for customers and users who didn’t grow up in a digital world.

Munich Startup: Who are you and what do you do? Please introduce yourselves!

Streavent: Streavent is taking virtual and hybrid B2B events to the next level. With custom-tailored online platforms that create lasting experiences and are intuitive to use, Streavent is making it possible for everyone to utilize digitization. Every one of our customers can easily use customizable platform solutions without any prior experience.

Streavent was founded in May 2020 and has now grown to a team of 14 employees. Felix Schwencke (CEO) and Lennart Paul (COO) are the co-founders and run the company together. They met during a startup competition in Peking and then started working together within the framework of the startup grant Manage&More. Felix is 27 years old and originally studied mechanical engineering at TUM and Stanford. Lenny is 24 years old and studied computer science at TUM. Both had previously worked on different projects worldwide.

Munich Startup: What problem is your startup solving?

Streavent: Digitization is here to stay and the pressure on organizations is tremendous when it comes to events. This is due to new customer demands, the high cost of travel as budgets shrink, physical restraints and new demands in terms of flexible working. Digital or hybrid events are the solution.

At the same time, however, digital solutions often fail to meet customers’ demands when it comes to design, branding and flexible functionality. With our modular concept, we’re in a position to meet these customer requests and offer the perfect solution. This allows us to support product launches, expert discussions, management conferences and trade shows for companies, associations and political organizations.

Streavent solves the problem.

Munich Startup: But that’s nothing out of the box!

Streavent: Digital natives are just a small portion of society, but at the same time, there are thousands of different solutions for precisely this target group on the market. As a result, most of these solutions end up overwhelming users instead of helping them.

Streavent is “also suitable for customers and users who didn’t grow up in a digital world”

With Streavent, we’re offering a software solution that is also suitable for customers and users who didn’t grow up in a digital world. At the same time, we give our customers the opportunity to design the platform to meet all of their needs in order to create unforgettable experiences. We also have a very close relationship with our customers and are developing our product further according to their wishes.

That differentiates us from the competition and is something our customers appreciate.

Munich Startup: Was there a point when you nearly failed?

Streavent: We’ve faced challenges time and again that we had to solve together as a team. But we fortunately haven’t gotten to a point where we almost failed yet. We’ve been able to develop extremely well so far and are looking forward to the challenges ahead.

Munich Startup: Where would you like to be in one year, and where in five years?

Streavent: During the coming year, we would like to continue to expand our customer base across Europe in the event sector. In five years, we would like to have developed Streavent into an international company with employees all over the world.

Streavent should continue to grow as a company for its employees in order to offer an increasing number of exciting prospects for all Streavent family members.

Munich Startup: What do you think about Munich as a startup location?

Streavent: Munich is simply brilliant as a location. We’re networked very well here, both on a private and professional level, which constantly provides new opportunities. Due to our remote-first approach, however, our employees are located around the world. Our employees are currently working in Germany (Munich, Stuttgart, Cologne), France, Ireland and California.

We’re also very excited to have moved into Werk1 near the Ostbahnhof. We have the opportunity to continue to grow here along with our neighboring startups.

Munich Startup: Isar River or English Garden?

Streavent: Definitely the Isar (the Flaucher river bank). It’s simply the best there.
