Five Success Stories From UnternehmerTUM

One of Munich’s most successful entrepreneurship centers is UnternehmerTUM. We would like to present five Munich startups that not only have success in common, but also links to UnternehmerTUM.

Proglove
The founders of Proglove were already scholarship recipients in the ‘Manage & More’ program of UnternehmerTUM while they were students. With their startup Proglove, they then participated in the first batch of the TechFounders accelerator program in 2015. The first prototype of the glove with an integrated barcode scanner for industrial use was made at the Garching-based Makerspace. The IoT startup now employees more than 250 individuals in Munich, Chicago and Belgrade, and their clients include Mercedes-Benz, VW, BMW, DHL, XPO Logistics, GAP and Staples. As became known in early May, the Swedish private equity investor Nordic Capital will become a majority shareholder of Proglove. Bayern Kapital, Summit Partners and DI Technology are selling their shares of the company. The founders and the management of Proglove will keep a minority stake. (Photo: Proglove)
