Are you looking for new recruits who are passionate about the startup scene? Are you prepared to work hard for recognition at an ambitious young company?
Startup job portals are virtual places where entrepreneurs in need of staff can meet specialists who are consciously looking for new challenges in the startup community. Internships for graduates and undergraduates are also placed via these portals, which are free of charge for users. You only pay if you advertise.
Of course, the broad selection on offer shouldn’t keep anyone from submitting unsolicited applications if they find the startup of their dreams: Any number of flourishing startups are always on the lookout for high-quality reinforcements!
A selection of the most important job portals for startups:
The online magazine deutsche-startups.de (“German Startups”) is a vibrant portal where both startups and established players place ads for between EUR 49 and EUR 499.
Both the magazine and the job portal of the same name primarily target web developers. Disciplines such as communication, design and marketing are also represented. Companies can advertise for prices from EUR 149, although job offers that also appear in print are naturally more expensive.
Ads in the job portal run by the Gründerszene (“Startup Scene”) magazine are always up to date and are definitely worth a look. Advertisements cost between EUR 149 and EUR 468.
The startup bulletin board offers a job portal, too. Ads cost between EUR 75 and EUR 345. Discounts on ad bundles are available.
“Exciting jobs in Germany’s most beautiful city” is the claim of Startup-Jobs München. The spectrum is limited but has a number of crucial advantages: Job offers posted here are much more sharply focused on startups than ads on rival portals. Moreover, all the positions advertised really are based in and around Munich. Best of all, the portal is completely free of charge for both job seekers and those offering work.
Startup job portal gründerluft (literally “Startup Air”) features a broad selection of offerings and is also completely free.
The ads shown on Startup sucht (“Startup seeks…”) are limited in number but firmly focused on startups. Internship ads can be placed for as little as EUR 14.99. Job offers start at EUR 29.99.
The SCE job portal posts lots of job offers, mostly for interns, although it also publishes offers posted for and by co-founders. All advertisements are free of charge.
“Companies apply to you, not the other way around” — Honeypot is different from most job portals. The service is focused on developers.
